Temperatures are expected to reach as high as 22°C across some parts of the Isle of Wight this weekend.

After months of wet weather, the sun has finally decided to make an appearance.

So what can we expect over the next three days?

Friday, May 10

According to the Isle of Wight Met Service, Friday will be a fine and warm day with sunny spells and occasional areas of high thin cloud.

It will be much cooler around windward coasts, the forecaster predicts.

Temperature are likely to reach between 18 to 20°C (13°C on windward coasts).

Saturday, May 11

Saturday, when Riverfest takes place, is expected to be another fine, warm day.

Again, it will be cooler around windward coasts where there is likely to be a freshening breeze.

Temperatures will peak at around 20 to 22°C (14°C on windward coasts), says the Met Service.

Sunday, May 12

There is good news if you're taking part in Walk the Wight on Sunday.

It will be another warm day and there is expected to be a lot more cloud, meaning it won't be too hot.

There is also the risk of the odd shower.

Jamie Russell, from the Met Service, said temperatures are likely to be between 19 and 21°C (around 14°C on windward coasts).
