Waste management group appoints managing director

The NWH Group has appointed Gavin Money as its managing director.

He joined the family-owned waste management and recycling business as chief operating officer, from Biffa, in September 2023.

Following the death of NWH's chief executive in October, Money assumed the reins during challenging times.

Money said: "I’m honoured to lead the business as managing director and am committed to advancing our mission of delivering exceptional waste management solutions while driving sustainable growth.

"Together with our dedicated team, we will continue to innovate and exceed expectations in service delivery."

The group recently toasted its best trading year to date and the forthcoming release of a new strategic plan is aimed at achieving £70m turnover within the next two years.

Serving the whole of Scotland and northeast England from 10 sites, NWH provides waste management services to the industrial, commercial and construction industries.

Collecting waste with its fleet of trade refuse, skip, tipper, grab and walking floor articulated vehicles, it transports materials to facilities where they are turned into products such as cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.
