Watch 5 TV Legends Assemble in Lifetime's “Ladies of the '80s” Trailer: 'Fasten Your Facelifts' (Exclusive)
PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the trailer for Lifetime's new holiday movie, 'Ladies of the '80s: A Divas Christmas,' which features Donna Mills, Loni Anderson, Morgan Fairchild, Linda Gray and Nicollette Sheridan
What do you get when you assemble five legendary soap stars under one roof? Drama, witty repartees and loads of laughs.
In Lifetime's upcoming original holiday movie Ladies of the ‘80s: A Divas Christmas — part of the network’s annual “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” season programming slate — daytime drama queens, played by WKRP in Cincinnati's Loni Anderson, Falcon Crest's Morgan Fairchild, Dallas's Linda Gray, and Knots Landing's Donna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan, reunite to film the final Christmas episode of their soap opera The Great Lakes.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive first look at the trailer, it’s clear that keeping the peace among Lily (Anderson), Margaux (Fairchild), Lauren (Gray), Dana (Mills) and Juliette (Sheridan) means navigating old feuds and finally putting aside differences. It also doesn’t hurt if there’s a distraction, like playing cupid to the soap's producer Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson).
As the five stars emerge in front of the camera arm-in-arm with thousand-watt smiles, a host from the fictional celebrity news show Hollywood Tonight offers commentary.
“Longtime popular daytime soap opera The Great Lakes is getting a little holiday reprieve,” he says.
In the next scene, a delighted Lily holds hands with Dana and Margaux, with Lauren close by. “This is going to be great, the four of us together,” Lily says.
But Dana grimaces when Juliette enters the picture, emerging from a black SUV sporting sunglasses and a designer orange trench coat.
“If she's doing the show, I’m not,” Dana declares.
“Fasten your facelifts, ladies. It's going to be a bumpy weekend,” Margaux declares.
Cutting to Alex and Nell together, Alex tells Nell he's “stoked” she was available to direct the episode.
“Are you two an item?” Dana interjects.
“We’re friends from college,” Nell quickly explains.
“With benefits?” Dana continues.
“No,” Alex and Nell reply at the same time.
Over a roaring fire, while donning pajamas, Margaux offers Nell some advice. “You don't always get to choose who you fall for,” she says.
“Listen to her. She's had five husbands,” Juliette quips.
“And I wouldn’t trade any one of them. Well, maybe that last one,” Juliette adds.
Ladies of the ‘80s: A Divas Christmas also stars Christopher Atkins, Patrika Darbo, Alec Mapa and Mills's daughter, Chloe Mills. The film also features a theme song performed by '80s pop star Tiffany.

While the holiday film promises no shortage of onscreen drama, director Christie Will Wolf tells PEOPLE that working with Anderson, Fairchild, Gray, Mills and Sheridan was a different story.
“Directing five of the most legendary actresses of the '80s was indeed an experience I’ll forever cherish,” she says. “An ensemble movie (with five of them in nearly every scene, and with one location) is never easy. Timing was essential to make sure the scenes landed — both for the comedy and, equally, the pacing. Loni, Morgan, Linda, Donna and Nicollette supported each other as any top-notch actor would, and I felt blessed they brought me into their inner circle… A circle that was built on immense trust, and a whole lot of laughs.”
Stepping on set was like “stepping back into the ‘80s" for the director, who says the five actresses "never missed a beat and nailed every take."
Adds Wolf: “To see them all having so much fun spoofing the types of characters they played back then was hilarious."
