The 22-year-old from Sedgefield was welcomed home by her parents, who hadn't seen their daughter since she crowned Miss Universe in November.

The Juice and Channel24 spoke to an excited Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa 2017 Micaela Govender who spoke about how much Demi-Leigh has inspired her, saying: "The confidence she inspires in young people is something that I admire. She is a beautiful and elegant lady."
