Watch House of the Dragon Season 2: Synopsis

The award-winning House of the Dragon is back, boldly charting the cataclysmic series of events known as the “Dance of the Dragons”. While its freshman outing was a slow burn, Season 2 clearly isn’t pulling any punches – its initial episodes have turned King’s Landing into a charnel house of dead bodies both guilty and innocent. Psyched for more Game of Thrones-style drama? Then catch every episode with our guide below, which explains how to watch House of the Dragon Season 2 online from anywhere.

*Warning: Season 2 spoilers ahead*

The schism between the Black and the Green councils now seems absolutely irreparable. Flying the Black flag for Rhaenyra’s claim (Emma D’Arcy) on the Iron Throne is her husband-uncle Prince Daemon (Matt Smith), and their Velaryon brothers-in-arms, including the seafaring Lord Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint).

And on Team Green? The illegitimate King Aegon Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), his mother, Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), and the sociopathic Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell), whose hulking dragon Vhagar shattered any hope of a peaceful reconciliation when it impetuously devoured Rhaenyra’s young son, Lucerys.

And the blood just keeps on flowing. In the wake of Prince Jaehaerys’ murder, Aegon plotted revenge against Rhaenyra and pledged war with the Blacks. Ser Criston Cole, (Fabien Frankel), meanwhile, found himself in the King's favor after sending Ser Arryk Cargyll (Luke Tittensor) on a suicide mission to Dragonstone. Impressed by Criston’s initiative, where his grandfather Otto only erred caution, Aegon dismissed him as Hand of the King and bestowed the influential title on Ser Criston instead.

With the impetuous duo of Aegon and Criston calling the shots, Team Green will imminently go on the devastating offensive. “We cannot wait for war to come to us,” Criston councils in the episode 3 promo. Meanwhile, as the Hightowers and their allies rally to war, the Blacks consider harnessing the biggest asset at their disposal: dragons! A terrifying, flame-belching army of them!
