WATCH Katie Price: 'I Wouldn't Be Surprised If Alex Reid Is Transgender'

Last January Katie Price gave us a whole load of gossip about her famous exes whilst she was staying in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and this year the Pricey has nabbed herself a spot on ITV’s Loose Women and has even more to say.

In a candid chat about Eddie Redmayne’s new film, ‘The Danish Girl’, conversation naturally swayed towards Katie’s ex-husband, Alex Reid, who’d openly admitted to dressing as a woman by the name of Roxanne.

'The Danish Girl’ sees Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne play Lili Elbe, the first recorded transexual. In the 1900s, Lili opened up to her wife, Gerda, about not identifying with the male gender and Gerda helped her transition into a woman.

Speaking about the similarities between the film and her own life, Katie explained: “I can’t wait to watch the film because I believe I have been in a similar situation. I mean, every individual is different but obviously one of husbands like to dress like a woman.

"Whether he’ll end up being a woman, who knows. Only he would know that. But I didn’t see any signs at the beginning, his friends would ask if i’d met [Roxanne] and I’d say no, what are you talking about.

"I asked him and he said he’d only done it mucking about until one night we got drunk and I said 'Oh shall we try to do some make-up’, mucking about, and obviously I opened a can of worms I wish I never opened.

"For me, it frightened me. His voice changed, his personality changed, and it actually frightened me and the things he wanted me to do frightened me.”

When pressed by her co-hosts on whether Alex was actually transgender or if he was a cross-dresser, Katie replied: “If he does end up being a transgender, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

Last month, Alex dressed up as Caitlyn Jenner, who famously transitioned last year, for a magazine cover, saying in the accompanying interview: “I’ve never truly identified with trans people, but I have lots of characters.”
