WATCH: Man who drove on the wrong side of the road to escape police is jailed

Two men have been jailed following a spate of drug crimes.

Ganiyu Dolapo Ajimobi, 28, of Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone, London, was sentenced to four years and four months in prison at Amersham Crown Court on June 14.

His drug partner, Sadiq Abubakar, 22, of Hunter Street, Buckingham, was jailed for one year and nine months, suspended for two years, at the same hearing.

Both pleaded guilty to two counts each of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

Ajimobi also pleaded guilty to one count each of dangerous driving, using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance and breaching a non-molestation order.

Abubakar also pleaded guilty to two counts each of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

This is concerning an incident which occurred on January 11 this year, when Ajimobi and Abubakar were arrested during an execution of a warrant as part of a proactive investigation into drug supply in Buckingham.

The thorough investigation found Ajimobi was in charge of supplying cocaine and heroin in the Buckingham area, with Abubakar working for him, since August 3, 2023.

Ajimobi also drove dangerously in Milton Keynes on September 19, 2023.

He refused to stop for police before driving on the wrong side of the road and at speed in an attempt to evade officers.

Ajimobi also breached a non-molestation order between November 22 and December 1, 2023.

Ajimobi and Abubakar were charged for their crimes on January 12.

Investigating officers PCs Jake Farrell and Levi Fensom said: “Drug-dealing will never be tolerated by Thames Valley Police so it is pleasing to see Ganiyu Dolapo Ajimobi and Sadiq Abubakar brought to justice for their offences.

“We will continue to disrupt and tackle drug dealing in Buckingham and the wider force area, but we need the community’s support.

“Ajimobi also led officers on a dangerous pursuit around Milton Keynes and breached a non-molestation order; behaviour which will also not be allowed on our patch and was reflected in his sentence.”
