Waterspout Spotted off Moreton Bay Coast

A spectacular waterspout was spotted off the coast of Moreton Bay in Queensland, as storm activity ramped up over in the region on March 4.

This footage, filmed by Toni Empringham, shows the funnel hovering over Moreton Bay on Monday afternoon.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for parts of the Sunshine Coast.

According to local news reports the Sunshine Coast was hammered with more than 200 mm (7.8 inches) of rain in some areas. Credit: Toni Empringham via Storyful
