Wave of Drone Attacks Leaves Several Injured in Kyiv

Ukraine’s military said on May 8 that all 35 drones targeting Kyiv overnight had been intercepted by air defenses. The city said at least five people were nonetheless injured, likely as a result of falling debris that damaged buildings and cars.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris linked to the attacks caused damage to residential buildings, cars, and a fuel tank in the Sviatoshynski and Solomyanskyi districts.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, visited a residential building in the city’s Sviatoshynski district on Monday, saying three people were injured there and two hospitalized when falling debris hit the high-rise.
