A UK weather map has shown the exact date Yorkshire will be hit with sizzling temperatures.

The county will be getting scorching summer weather on Monday, June 24, with the temperatures going as high as 24C, according to Netweather.tv maps. This comes as London, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Birmingham, and Manchester are likely to sizzle at 26C, reports The Express.

Jim Dale, a weather expert from British Weather Services, said: “The probabilities are high that we could see a settled weather.

“The shift is from the south, and the UK will start heating up, particularly south-east. The temperature will oscillate between 25C and 26C. It is going in the right direction but not before the time.

“I would fully expect we will see hotter days as we move into July. Temperatures may go up to 30C as go into July."
