Yahoo News Week of M20 overnight roadworks while second Dartford Crossing weekend closure looms
Drivers will need to contend with a series of overnight closures on the M20 this week as multiple projects progress. As part of a large resurfacing effort beginning on Monday, June 17, the M20 will see weeknight closures between Junctions 4 and 6.
Closures will take place between 8pm and 6am on these nights, starting on the east-bound carriageway from June 17 to June 29. While the road is closed, traffic will be diverted via the A228, M2 and A229.
Separate improvement works will also see the M20 east-bound closed between Junctions 2 and Junction 5 on multiple nights this week. Meanwhile, a closure of the QEII Bridge is planned this coming weekend, following the overnight closure on Saturday, June 15 for emergency repair works.

Tunnel closures will also be taking place at the Dartford Crossing throughout the week. Full details on all of these works and closures at the crossing can be found here.

Monday, June 17
The A2 westbound will close from Whitfield to Upper Harbledown between 8pm and 6am for surface works.
The A2 eastbound Marling Cross entry slip will close from 8pm to 6am for surface works.
The A2 westbound Darenth Interchange to the M25 anti-clockwise Junction 2 link road will close from 10pm to 5.30am for painting works.
The A2 eastbound will close between Bourne Interchange and Old Bexley Lane from 10pm to 5am for VRS works. The eastbound Old Bexley Lane exit slip will also close during this time.
The A21 northbound Junction 5 exit slip will close from 10pm to 5.30am for sign works.
The M20 eastbound will close from Junction 4 to Junction 6 between 8pm and 6am for surface works.
The M20 eastbound will close between Junction 2 and Junction 5 from 10pm to 6am for improvement works.
The M25 anti-clockwise will close from Junction 2 to Junction 1a between 10pm and 5.30am for painting works. The M25 anti-clockwise Junction 2 and Junction 1b entry slips will also close during this time.
The M25 clockwise Junction 3 roundabout west quadrant will close from 10pm to 5am for waterproofing and resurfacing works.
The M26 eastbound will close between Junction 2a and the M20 from 10pm to 6am for improvement works.
Tuesday, June 18
The A2 westbound will close from Whitfield to Upper Harbledown between 8pm and 6am for surface works.
The A2 eastbound Marling Cross entry slip will close from 8pm to 6am for surface works.
The A2 westbound Pepperhill Interchange exit slip will close from 8pm to 6am for maintenance.
The A2 westbound Darenth Interchange to the M25 anti-clockwise Junction 2 link road will close from 10pm to 5.30am for painting works.
The A2 eastbound will close between Bourne Interchange and Old Bexley Lane from 10pm to 5am for VRS works. The eastbound Old Bexley Lane exit slip will also close during this time.
The A20 eastbound White Horse Hill exit and entry slips will close between 8pm and 6am for maintenance works.
The A21 northbound Chipstead to the M25 clockwise Junction 5 slip road will close from 10pm to 5am for routine maintenance.
The A21 northbound Westerham entry slip will close from 10pm to 5am for routine maintenance.
The M2 westbound Junction 2 entry slip will close from 8pm to 5am for maintenance.
The M20 eastbound will close from Junction 4 to Junction 6 between 8pm and 6am for surface works.

The A21 will close in both directions between Kippings Cross and Forstal Farm Roundabout from 8pm on Saturday June 22 until 5pm on Sunday June 23 for South East Water works.
The M2 westbound Junction 5 exit slip will close from 8pm on Friday June 21 until 5am on Monday June 24 for junction improvement works.
Sunday, June 23
The A2 westbound will close from Wincheap to Brenley Corner from 8pm to 6am for surface works.
The A2 eastbound Upper Harbledown exit slip will close between 8pm and 6am for surface works.
The A2 westbound Junction A2018 will close between the exit and entry slips from 10.30pm to 5am for VRS replacement works. The A2 westbound Junction A2018 entry slip will also close during this time.
The A20 eastbound will close at York Street between the exit and entry slips from 8pm to 6am for white lining works.
The A21 will close in both directions between Kippings Cross and Forstal Farm Roundabout from 8pm on Saturday June 22 until 5pm on Sunday June 23 for South East Water works.
