The excitement for Taylor Swift coming to Liverpool has been brewing all week, and now that she’s here, the atmosphere certainly hasn’t let us down.

Despite chilly wet weather and gloomy skies on night one of the star’s three-night stint in Liverpool, fans still had huge smiles on their faces. For night two, the sun was shining, and Stanley Park was a lot busier, brimming with good vibes.

From hen do's to cute dogs dressed in Taylor Swift attire, it was amazing how a glimpse of golden sunshine made everything feel much brighter. Families were scattered throughout Stanley Park with picnics, barbecues and their best pink cowboy hats to mark the momentous occasion.

It was heartwarming to see so many families with little kids having the time of their lives, cartwheeling in the grass and dancing to their favourite Taylor Swift songs. Each person I spoke to commented on the atmosphere of the day, with one woman even linking the day back to when Eurovision came to Liverpool.

Gail Keville, 54, from Wirral said: “What I love about Taylor is that the show is so organised. There’s none of this encore nonsense. Wherever you are in that stadium you can see here. Wherever you are, you can see her, she rises up. She’s a proper entertainer.”

She continued: "I’m having a lovely night it’s like being abroad. So many families having picnics. It’s such a gorgeous atmosphere and no rain! This shows Liverpool in its best light. Just like Eurovision did.”

I was amazed at how clearly you could hear Taylor Swift from Stanley Park. Swifties had even set up camp with chairs, tents and snacks to make the most of it and the glorious weather definitely made a difference.

Although, I will say that the sound was a lot clearer further down Stanley Park as opposed to closer to the barricades. A lot of fans also centred themselves round by The Kop where the sound was crystal clear.

Catrin Hamer, 18, Cara Hamer, 24 and David Wannop, 26 from North Wales had watched Taylor on the opening night, and visited the park to watch the live stream and hear her play again.

Catrin said: “We just love Taylor Swift, we can’t get enough of her, we’ve watched every single live on Instagram. It’s a really lovely atmosphere here. We were a bit nervous as people were saying you couldn’t really hear anything from the park but you can hear quite well.”

It was incredible to see so many fans dressed up to the nines enjoying the music. Whether they had tickets or not, they were soaking up the atmosphere with some glorious weather to match.

It’s safe to say I, like many others, will never forget Taylor Swift visiting the city. Fans have travelled far and wide, with some spending a lot of money to see the singer, and the city has welcomed them with open arms.
