'We're all tired' - Families furious as 3am roadworks keep them up all night
Families are being kept awake - by overnight roadworks. Stoke-on-Trent City Council has been resurfacing a section of King Street, in Fenton.
It has included resurfacing the carriageway overnight. But neighbours are now sick of the disruption.
One resident said: "We are all tired of the late-night working on King Street with all the roadworks. We all have kids that need to be sleeping and the adults can't sleep and if we are not sleeping we can't get up for the school-run and work in the morning nice and fresh. The roadworks have started in the early hours and go on until 3am with yellow flashing lights on and drills keeping children up."
The roadworks - which started on 29 April - are near the junctions with Burnham Street and Berdmore Street. The roadworks were due to finish in the early hours of this morning.
StokeonTrentLive has approached Stoke-on-Trent City Council for a statement regarding the roadworks.
