Police have released footage of a raid on a cannabis farm worth £170,000 in West Bridgford. Officers discovered 207 plants in five separate growing areas when they raided a home in Alford Road on April 2.

Dung Nguyen, 30, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to production of a Class B drug. Nguyen, of no fixed address, was jailed for 10 months when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Wednesday, May 8.

Footage released of the raid by Nottinghamshire Police shows officers use a red battering ram to smash down the front door of the property. Rooms full of cannabis are then shown growing under yellow lights.

Police are then seen leading Nguyen out of the home before handcuffing him. Inspector Tim Cuthbert, district commander for Rushcliffe, said: “The cultivation and supply of drugs causes misery and harm to all those that it impacts.

“I’m grateful to members of the public who gave us invaluable information about this grow. The team developed this intelligence to execute a successful warrant which put a large cannabis producing enterprise out of action."
