David Luiz has been recalled to Antonio Conte's Chelsea squad but does not start against West Brom after his recent omission from the squad.

The defender was surprisingly dropped for Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester United before the international break after questioning the tactics used by Conte in the 3-0 loss away to Roma.

However, he has shown a positive reaction to the omission during the international break and has been given the chance to prove himself at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon by being recalled to Conte's team - although he will have to settle for a place on the bench as Andreas Christensen keeps his spot at the heart of Chelsea's defence.

There are no other major surprises to Conte's starting line up, but Michy Batshuayi and Charly Musonda are not part of the Italian's squad due to injury.

Batshuayi, Conte's only other recognised striker in his squad, suffered an ankle injury in the days leading up to the 1-0 win over United and was forced to return from Belgium duty early.

Musonda, meanwhile, has a knee problem while Danny Drinkwater continues to recover from a knock to the calf sustained against United a fortnight ago but does make the squad.

Chelsea starting XI vs West Brom: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Kante, Alonso, Fabregas, Morata, Hazard.

Chelsea subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Luiz, Drinkwater, Ampadu, Pedro, Willian.
