West Lothian emergency services rush to smash on M8 sparking tailbacks

Emergency services have rushed to a major road in West Lothian following reports of a smash.

Drivers have been warned to expect delays after a crash on M8 near Bathgate.

In images from Traffic Scotland cameras, queues can be seen tailing back from junction 3A with an ambulance and road police also at the scene.

Drivers have been warned to expect 17 minute delay as traffic is heavy in the area.

Traffic Scotland said: "M8 Junction 3ATraffic slowing Westbound this afternoon due to a collision at Junction 3A. Approx 17 minute delay."

Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
