West Lothian man pleads with public as 'brother and only friend' goes missing

A West Lothian man has pled with the public for help in tracing his "brother and only friend", after Brandon Doig went missing on May 6.

Walker Lee Macauley said Brandon, 24, was last seen in Bathgate town centre, and is known to travel throughout the area. Walker told us he's usually a "happy guy", and his family just want him home safe and sound.

He was described by his brother as 5 foot 7 inches, with blue eyes and black hair with a front fringe. On the day he went missing, he was wearing a white top with Nike trainers and blue/black jogging trousers.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Walker said: "He's my brother and the only friend I've got.

"I want him home safe and sound. He's normally a happy guy making jokes, very bubbly.

"He was going to the job centre on Monday morning, was suppoed to be there for 11.30am. His mum picked him up from Etive Walk and took him to Bathgate job centre, he got there for 11.50am they told me.

"He's been missing since. We're sure he was at his grans grave, there's a fresh bum print when we checked.

"His phones off. We can't find him anywhere.

"He's depressed and suicidal, we need to make sure he's safe and well."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Brandon is described as a white male, 24-year- old, 5’8”, medium build with dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black zipped jumper and black joggers.

"If you have any information that may help in finding Brandon please contact 101 quoting incident number 2943 of the 6th May.
