West Tyrone General Election 2024 results in full as Órfhlaith Begley retains her seat
Voters across the West Tyrone constituency have gone to the polls in the 2024 General Election and the constituency's 2024 MP has been declared.
This Westminster seat was created in 1997 from parts of the old Foyle and Mid-Ulster constituencies and has been in Sinn Féin hands since 2001.
Sinn Fein's Órfhlaith Begley has retained her seat polling a total of 22,711 votes.
At the last election in 2019, Sinn Fein's Órfhlaith Begley had a majority of 7,478 votes over Tom Buchanan of the DUP, having been originally elected in a by-election a year earlier following the resignation of Barry McElduff. The seat was previously held by Pat Doherty of Sinn Féin and prior to 2001 by the UUP's William Thompson.
