Westlife’s Nicky Byrne has been left with a bruised ribcage after falling into an open trapdoor on stage at the end of a live show.
The 44-year-old boyband star was waving goodbye to the audience after performing with the band at Glasgow's Hydro arena when he turned and tripped down a set of stairs.
Byrne shared a video of his accident as well as pictures of a huge purple bruise on his side on Instagram.

Byrne said: "Thank you for all your well wishes! So last night I did have a little accident on stage in Glasgow, where I didn't realise the mechanical stairs had opened behind me.
"A crazy moment which could have been a lot worse but I'm completely fine, a little bit battered and bruised but ok! I'll see y'all back up there tonight.
"Checked by the wonderful medics at the hydro.
"The show must go on. Thanks for all your well wishes. #ReallyFlyingWithoutWings"
Bandmate Shane Finlan can be seen hurrying down the steps after him while Mark Feehily gasps in shock.
The Uptown Girl singers are currently on their Wild Dreams tour of the UK which continues throughout November and December, with venues including Leeds, Manchester, London, Cardiff and Belfast.
They will preform Home For Christmas and New Years Eve shows in Dublin over the festive period.
Westlife formed in Dublin in 1998. Original member Brian McFadden left the band in 2004.
The Flying Without Wings singers split in 2011 and reformed in 2018. In 2021 they released their 12th album, Wild Dreams.
Byrne represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 but failed to make the final.
Filan said their fans have grown up with them and while they still throw their knickers on stage, they are more likely to be big pants than g-strings.
He said: "We get fans chucking their knickers at us all the time.

“One of the last ones, this woman threw up quite a large pair of knickers, it was funny, they were massive. Myself and Nicky got into them. We walked around on stage in Manchester wearing them while we sang a song before throwing them back to her.”
