Disney+ has an interesting month ahead as January will mark the release of a new Marvel TV series and a number of other big films and shows.
As well as a new Marvel series, Disney+ will be bringing Gareth Edwards' sci-fi hit The Creator to the platform, whilst new seasons of shows like Modern Family and Snowfall will also be released. For those looking for an informational programme, they need look no further than A Real Bug's Life, a National Geographic programme that examines insects at a closer angle.

Echo | 10 January
Alaqua Cox returns as Maya Lopez, the character who served as the villain in Hawkeye. This time the character is front and centre as she deals with the fallout of shooting Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), at the end of Hawkeye.
The new series, which consists of five episodes that will be released all at once, finds Maya returning to her hometown in Oklahoma, where she must confront her past and her family in order to move forward. All the while, Kingpin's forces are relentlessly pursuing her.
The Creator | 17 January
Gareth Edwards returns to the sci-fi genre after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and his new film explores what it means to be human in a world where AI has become sentient and are in the midst of a war with humanity years after a nuclear bomb destroyed half of Los Angeles.
The story centres on a special forces agent (John David Washington) who is struggling with the death of his wife (Gemma Chan) but is brought back into the field when he learns she may be alive, and the key to finding her is by finding the mysterious weapon that AI have created and could end humankind.
The Artful Dodger | 17 January
Thomas Brodie-Sangster stars as Jack Dawkins, aka Dodger, a savvy pickpocket who is seeking out his fortune in a colony in 1850s Australia, but whose past comes to haunt him when Fagin arrives. As he is tempted back into the world of crime, Dodger has another thing on his mind: love.
Cristóbal Balenciaga | 19 January
This Spanish drama explores the life and rise to fame of one of the most profound voices in fashion: Cristóbal Balenciaga (played by Alberto San Juan). It explores how the man defied convention and brought new insight into the industry and how he stood out from fashion houses like Chanel, Diro and Givenchy.
