What to watch on TV this week: The 7 best shows, from Clarkson's Farm to The Gold

As one hit BBC Sunday night drama bows out, another lines up to take its place in the form of true crime series The Gold.

If you prefer your TV dramas a little less realistic and even more glossy, look forward to the return of You which drops its fourth season on Netflix this week.

Elsewhere, Gemma Arterton leads a star cast for Sky's adaptation of Nick Hornby novel Funny Woman, and Jeremy Clarkson is reunited with Kaleb Cooper for Prime Video documentary Clarkson's Farm.

The guilty pleasure reality franchise returns to Mediterranean waters with more tensions brewing between the privileged yacht guests and its party-loving crew.

Captain Sandy is headed for Malta, but the crew is a little on the light side and guests are heavy on complaints.

Funny Woman - Sky MAX - Thursday, 9pm

Gemma Arterton brings Nick Hornby's novel to life as 60s Blackpool factory worker Barbara Parker, who sets out for London hoping to take the sitcom world by storm.

Life as a comic actor turns out to have fewer laughs than anticipated, but she catches the eye of a theatrical agent played by Rupert Everett.

Also starring David Threlfall, Tom Bateman, Clare-Hope Ashitey and Arsher Ali.

You - Netflix - Thursday

The serial killer thriller has long since descended into ridiculously outlandish plot twists, but remains as addictive as ever.

If UK viewers are looking for an extra reason to dedicate more time to Joe's shenanigans, this season he's headed for London, where new victims await.

He's had his fair share of controversy lately, but Jeremy Clarkson's documentary series about his Cotswolds farm remains popular, thanks in part to the charm of farm manager Kaleb Cooper.

The second season returns with Clarkson still struggling to win over the locals and trying his hand at cattle farming and chilli growing.

Sunday nights on BBC One are still the home of crime drama, with true story The Gold making its debut this weekend.

The 1983 Brink's-Mat robbery saw thieves stumble across £26 million of gold bullion, leaving them with the dilemma of how on earth to shift that amount of stolen goods.
