After sending Swiftie sleuths on a wild Google goose chase for her newest vault tracks, Taylor Swift’s rerecorded 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has arrived.
Fresh off the premiere of The Eras Tour concert film, the singer-songwriter dropped her latest “Taylor’s Version” rerecording — her fourth so far — on Thursday night for her Grammy-winning fifth studio album. The rerecording’s vault tracks include “Slut!,” “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” and “Suburban Legends.” The Target exclusive offers the bonus track, “Sweeter Than Fiction (Taylor’s Version),” and other editions on CD are also available at the mass retailer.

Originally released in 2014, 1989 took home Grammy awards for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video of the Year for “Bad Blood,” which features Kendrick Lamar. Other hit songs include “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” “Blank Space” and “Style.”

Lamar joined Swift in re-recording “Bad Blood,” and the singer shared on Instagram that “watching [the rapper] create and record his verses on the [song’s] remix was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life. I still look back on this collaboration with so much pride and gratitude, for the ways Kendrick elevated the song and the way he treats everyone around him. Every time the crowds on The Eras Tour would chant his line ‘you forgive, you forget, but you never let it… go!’, I smiled. The reality that Kendrick would go back in and re-record Bad Blood so that I could reclaim and own this work I’m so proud of is surreal and bewildering to me. I’m overjoyed to say that the Bad Blood Remix (featuring Kendrick Lamar) is available everywhere on the 1989 Deluxe Edition.”
In her first announcement of 1989 (Taylor’s Version), the 12-time Grammy-winning musician explained, “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind.”

The 33-year-old THR Platinum Player released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in July, and other recordings include Red (Taylor’s Version) and Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
