When Prince William and Kate Middleton said their vows, it was a Royal wedding that captured the hearts of millions.

The ceremony, watched live by countless viewers, was picture-perfect, including the bridesmaid who nearly stole the limelight, reports the Mirror.

The day Kate walked down the aisle was nothing short of a fairytale. Donning her exquisite custom Alexander McQueen gown, she was accompanied by a group of well-connected youngsters serving as her bridesmaids, with her sister Pippa taking on the central role of Maid of Honour.

From the children of some of Kate's closest friends to young royals, much has changed in the past 13 years for Kate's selection of bridesmaids. Let's take a look at what they're up to these days...

Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones

Lady Margarita was one of two of Kate's bridesmaids who were already part of the Royal Family.

She is the granddaughter of the late Princess Margaret and the daughter of the 2nd Earl of Snowdon, David Armstrong-Jones, and his former wife Serena Armstrong-Jones.

Margarita, who was a mere eight years old at the wedding, has fast-forwarded 13 years to carve out an impressive reputation for herself, even gracing the cover of Tatler magazine as an "English Rose bombshell".

Now 26th in line to the throne, she leads a quiet life in Paris, immersing herself in studies of jewellery and photography.

As a Royal Family member, she's a familiar face at significant events, having attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials and the late Queen's state funeral.

Last year saw her at Tatler's Little Black Book party, donning a sequinned dress and fur stole, reminiscent of her late grandmother's style.

Lady Louise Windsor

At the tender age of seven during the grand occasion, Lady Louise is the daughter of the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

She's one of Prince William's cousins and was seen next to her cousin Prince Harry during the carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace.

Now 19, Louise, often mentioned as the late Queen's favourite grandchild, is pursuing English Literature at St Andrew's University in Scotland, the alma mater of Kate and William, where their romance blossomed.

In 2022, it was revealed that Lady Louise Windsor, who shares her grandfather Prince Philip's passion for carriage driving, took on a summer job at a garden centre while awaiting her A-Level results.

She reportedly earned £6.83 an hour and was commended by customers for her "polite and attentive" service.

Eliza Lopes

Eliza Lopes, one of the youngest bridesmaids at the Royal wedding, is the granddaughter of Queen Consort Camilla.

The daughter of Camilla's child Laura Lopes, Eliza is also the lesser-known stepsister to Princes William and Harry.

Now 16, she continues her education away from the limelight.

Last year, Eliza was present at the coronation of her grandmother, Queen Consort Camilla, and King Charles III, along with her family.

Her brothers Gus and Louis served as pages of honour for the Queen during the momentous event, joining Freddy Parker-Bowles, another of Camilla's grandsons, and Arthur Elliot, her grand-nephew.

Although Eliza maintains a low profile, Queen Consort Camilla once shared details of a health scare involving her granddaughter.

This came to light when Camilla opened the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, as reported by the Daily Mail, where she acknowledged the critical work of the service: "I know what fantastic work the air ambulance does. I've seen it and I have known friends that have literally been saved by it."

"Even in Yorkshire my granddaughter was taken off in the Yorkshire one, one year, and luckily she was sorted and alright, but it gave my daughter such confidence to be aboard it," Camilla said at the event.

The Queen didn't offer any further details about her granddaughter's health scare.

Grace van Cutsem

Grace, who was then just three, deserves credit for one of the most iconic photos from Kate and William's special day.

She pulled a completely unimpressed face and covered her ears as the newlyweds shared their Buckingham Palace balcony kiss.

The adorable photo earned her the nickname Grumpy Grace, and is considered by many to be the best snap from the day.

She's the daughter of the couple's friend Hugh van Cutsem, and is William's goddaughter.

After her day in the royal spotlight Grace, now 15, returned to her normal life, and lives at the family home in Oxfordshire with her parents and brothers, Rafe and Charlie.

After spending time in Sri Lanka, during which Grace was homeschooled, she's now enrolled at a private school - and her mother Rose is keen to keep their family's public association with the Royal Family to a minimum, saying in an interview with The Times: "No, I don't want to be associated. I'm fed up with being associated with the Royal Family in everything I do. I have nothing to do with them apart from I married someone who grew up with them," as she explained why she doesn't use her married name in her professional endeavours.

Pippa Matthews

Pippa Middleton, Kate's younger sister, gained significant attention as a bridesmaid at the royal wedding.

At 27, she stood out among the younger bridesmaids in her stunning white Alexander McQueen gown.

The form-fitting ivory dress Pippa wore was widely discussed and admired.

The apparent chemistry between Pippa and Prince Harry, who was William's best man, also caught the public's attention.

Following the wedding, Pippa's fame soared. She was listed among Time magazine's most influential people in the world in 2012 and published a book titled Celebrate, a guide to party planning.

She wrote columns for Waitrose magazine and the Telegraph but has recently shifted her focus to charity work.

In 2017, Pippa had her dream wedding when she married wealthy hedge fund manager James Matthews, the older brother of Made In Chelsea star Spencer. Prince George served as a pageboy and Princess Charlotte was one of her bridesmaids.

Wedding guests included William and Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and tennis legend Roger Federer.

Pippa and James are now parents to three children: Arthur, aged four, two-year-old Grace, and Rose, who was born in 2022.
