Why Bradford Literature Festival is officially one of Britain's best for 2024

Bradford Literature Festival considers itself “Europe’s most eclectic and diverse” of its kind and has now been revealed as one of the best book festivals of the year, according to Big Issue.

From the best of literature, music, theatre, discussions, lectures and family events, visitors can expect a jam-packed schedule until July 7.

The likes of Harry Potter's Miriam Margolyes will also be attending among many other speakers.

Why is Bradford Literature Festival one of Britain’s best in 2024?

Big Issue commented: “One of the largest literature festivals in the UK, the Bradford Literature Festival considers itself Europe’s most eclectic and diverse.

“Topics like AI, the climate emergency and global feminism are up for discussion, featuring speakers like Miriam Margolyes, Corinne Bailey Rae and Shaparak Khorsandi.

“Attendees can enjoy workshops on creative writing, poetry and storytelling from well-respected authors and poets.”

Bradford Literature Festival which is now on runs across 10 days and is showcasing “unique events for all ages welcoming some of the most inspirational and creative figures from the worlds of literature, poetry, business, politics, science and history, film and TV, among many others, to Bradford.”

Syima Aslam, founder, CEO and artistic director of the literature event also writes on the festival website: “Look out for the return of our flagship events including Poetry with a Punch, and the ever-popular Brontë Day and Family Fun Days in City Park, as well as several new themes and topics.

“We passionately believe in the power of words to broaden horizons and raise aspirations and we hope you can join us on this journey of discovery.”
