One of Nottingham's park and ride sites will face a partial closure in the coming days. Wilkinson Street Park and Ride, in Basford, will be closed for three days between Sunday, May 19, and Tuesday, May 21.

Nottingham Express Transit (NET), who runs the park and ride sites, has advised people to use other nearby sites while the closure is in place. The Wilkinson Street Park and Ride site boasts 600 parking spaces and is located just off Nottingham's ring road.

The charging points located on the car park will also be unavailable, with the closure expected to end at 12pm on May 21. The closure comes as the operator also announced track works will be taking place on May 18 and 19.

As a result, there will be no service between Wilkinson Street and Bulwell and Wilkinson Street and Phoenix Park. A tram replacement bus service will run between these stops. The reason for the park and ride site closure remains unclear.

In a statement on X (previously Twitter), NET said: "The Wilkinson Street Park & Ride will have a partial closure from Sunday May19 - Tuesday May 21. There will be limited parking and no charging points available during this time. Forest Park & Ride is open with extra space."

Forest Park and Ride benefits from almost 1,000 parking spaces, while Phoenix Park has 657 spaces on offer.
