Wind-Driven Fire Prompts Evacuations West of Colorado Springs

A wind-driven wildfire had burned more than 1,000 acres west of Colorado Springs by Friday, March 31, prompting mandatory evacuations, authorities said.

The 403 fire, which had spread from Park County into Teller County by Friday morning, forced the evacuations of 100 homes and put others on notice, The Denver Post reported.

This footage was posted by the Teller County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.
