Nottingham Forest have been named as one of several Premier League clubs monitoring teen talent Edmund Baidoo. According to Sky Sports, the Reds are keeping eyes on the highly-rated Ghanaian winger, who plays for Sogndal in Norway. Brighton are mentioned as potential suitors in the same report, along with other unnamed top-flight sides.

Baidoo has seemingly caught the attention of high-profile teams across Europe - only six months after leaving his home country. It was only in January he signed for Sogndal, where his manager is former Chelsea striker Tor Andre Flo.

Flo said: "He is a young and very exciting player. He has great speed and good technique and can challenge any defender. We are very excited to be part of developing Edmund here in Sogndal."

Since arriving at Sogndal, Baidoo has registered nine goals and seven assists in the second tier of Norwegian football. But it was only after three matches for his current side that local media reported the presence of scouts from some of Norway's top teams, followed by representatives of Swedish outfit Malmo and Belgian league clubs.

The Ghanaian is said to be in no rush to move on as he continues his development. And the Norwegian football season runs from March to December, so he and Sogndal are currently only 14 matches into a 32-game campaign.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already added one promising wide player to his ranks this week after Eric da Silva Moreira's signing from St Pauli was confirmed by the club.
