Winter flights to Iceland launched from Bournemouth Airport

BOURNEMOUTH Airport’s newest airline is set to launch flights to Iceland.

Jet2 has announced a new programme of exclusive trips to the volcanic island for winter 2025/2026. This will see three dedicated trips in total from the airport.

This includes a three-night trip on November 23, 2025 and four-night trips on February 11, 2026 and April 1, 2026.

The airline and holiday package company has timed the flights for those wanting to see the Northern Lights.

The company’s programme of Iceland trips from other airports have enjoyed ‘huge success’, the operator said, and it expects the same response in Bournemouth.

Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, said: "Iceland is a fantastic addition to our winter schedule next year and we're thrilled that Jet2.com is launching this programme of exclusive trips, adding to its 16 sunshine destinations starting from Bournemouth from next April."

As reported, Jet2 announced in March it would be starting flights from the airport, with destinations including Spain, Greece, Portugal and Turkey.

It then launched its first ever winter sun programme from the airport in May, as the airline and package holiday company establish itself on the south coast.

Also in May, airline TUI’s second aircraft landed at the airport as it doubles its summer programme from Bournemouth.

In June, the Daily Echo reported the airport’s owner, Regional and City Airports, is in early talks with BCP Council over a potential expansion of the terminal building and transport exchange.
