Winter Storm Bears Down on Saskatchewan

Heavy snow and gusty wind lowered visibility in parts of Saskatchewan on Monday, February 26, as a winter storm hit the province.

A winter storm warning was in effect for Saskatoon as Environment Canada forecast heavy snow accumulating up to 10 cm (4 inches) and winds gusting to 70 km/h (43 mph). Weather officials warned wind chill values would approach or exceed -40 on Monday and Tuesday nights.
