Winter Storm Breaks Snowfall Records in Anchorage

A winter storm dumped several inches of snow in Anchorage, Alaska, on Thursday, November 9.

The storm led to power outages and road closures across the area, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

Parts of Anchorage received over a foot of snow, the outlet reported, citing weather officials.

The storm, which started earlier in the week, set a daily snowfall record on Wednesday, after 9 inches fell that day, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
