Wolverhampton North East General Election results 2024
The Tories have lost their grip on Wolverhampton North East in a nightmare night for them in the West Midlands. Sureena Brackenridge has won the seat for Labour in the 2024 general election with 14,282 votes.
The Conservatives just edged out Reform UK to come second with 8,860 votes. It means Labour has a majority of 5,422 on a night where blue seats turned red across the West Midlands.
Elsewhere in Wolverhampton, Pat McFadden, a key Keir Starmer ally, held on to his seat in the South East.
Wolverhampton North East was won by the Conservatives in 2019, under Boris Johnson, but has largely been held by Labour in the past. Due to boundary changes parts of Walsall borough now fall within the constituency.
