Woman 'bitten by dog' being walked by two people in Sturry

A woman was reportedly bitten by a dog being walked by two people in Sturry. The alleged incident happened on Thursday, May 9.

Witnesses are now being sought by officers investigating the report of the incident, near Canterbury. The victim reported that she was bitten by a large black dog, possibly a German Shepherd, shortly after 8.25am.

The incident happened as the woman was waiting at the level crossing on Sturry Hill/Island Road. The dog was reportedly being walked by two women, described as being in their 40s, one of whom was wearing a pink coat.
