A woman cried tears of joy after a couple of kind-hearted Taylor Swift fans gave her a spare ticket to tonight's show in Liverpool.

Beaming from ear to ear, Rose Lloyd, 39, from Manchester, told the ECHO her amazing story at Anfield Stadium yesterday evening, June 12.

Rose is a huge Taylor Swift fan. She has been listening to Taylor's music for years and says she finds it "really meaningful". She was desperate to go to one of the shows taking place in Liverpool this week, but didn't manage to get tickets.

Having heard about an academic conference devoted to Taylor Swift being organised by the University of Liverpool, Rose decided to hop on a train to Lime Street yesterday morning and attend.

She said: "I decided to come in and go to the conference. That was going to be my 'Taylor day' - a chance to meet other fans and have a great time."

But Rose's day was about to be made a whole lot better thanks to a chance meeting with two American Swifties called Becks and Babs.

Speaking to the ECHO, Rose explained: "On the way in, at Liverpool Lime Street Station, I ran into two American ladies who had booked some tickets to come over. One of them said, 'oh you're a Swiftie! What date are you going to?' and I said, 'oh, I didn't get tickets, I'm really disappointed."

According to Rose, the woman looked at her friend, then turned to Rose and said, "would you like a ticket?"

Apparently, the women had booked extra tickets for their friends to attend, but one was going spare. Seeing Rose looking so forlorn, they decided to offer it to a fellow Taylor devotee.

Stunned by the woman's generosity, Rose accepted the offer. Babs and Becks reportedly "transferred the ticket then and there", and refused to accept any money for it.

The self-confessed superfan was clearly delighted by her stroke of luck. She said: "It was just the most amazing thing to happen. I burst into tears when they told me. I didn't believe it at first."

She continued: "This morning I was really sad because I wasn't going to get to see Taylor Swift, and now I'm just so excited because I'm coming tomorrow."

Fellow Swiftie Laura, who met Rose yesterday and bonded with her over their mutual love for Taylor, said: "It's generosity on a whole other level. It's just an incredible story."
