No matter how scrupulous you are, pesky fingermarks seem to materialise out of thin air.

You could expend hours perfectly sprucing up your home, but all it takes is one person who hasn't given their hands a good scrub to begin leaving dirty hand prints everywhere. If you've got little ones scampering around your house, you'll understand this heartache only too well.

But fortunately, there's a DIY spray you can mix together, using components you likely already have in your cleaning stockpile, which might help ward off grubby fingerprints in your abode. TikTok user @foreverhomejune19 shared a video clip on the platform, captioning: "Genius... fingerprint hack. I saw this hack on Insta and had to give it a shot."

Going on to outline the necessities, the lady, who shares home interior, cleansing and lifestyle hacks on the platform, directed viewers to grab "equal parts white vinegar and rinse aid" alongside a "dash of washing up liquid and warm water". She dubbed it a "magic potion", adding: "Just wait and see the results."

After tossing all the ingredients into an empty spray bottle, she shewed how effective the spray is on a door handle. After giving it a few spritzes with the 'magic potion', and then wiping it away, she attempts to push her fingers onto it to leave a mark but nothing shows up.

The woman shared she also applied this 'brilliant' trick on glass doors and mirrors - which had similarly successful results. The hack received considerable praise in the comments, with one user describing it as a "cool idea", while another chimed in: "Amazing."

White vinegar holds numerous benefits in household cleaning, according to the cleaner. She also claims it can deter bugs from invading her home.

In a recent video, she demonstrated how spraying white vinegar around window frames and entryways can be effective. "It really does work," she stated, sharing: "I used to get ear bugs and even slugs coming in."
