Woman Cuts Up Her Iranian Identity Card During Protest in Vancouver

A woman cut up her Iranian identity card on the steps of the Vancouver art gallery on Sunday, September 25, in protest against the Iranian government following the death of Mahsa Amini.

Footage by Vancouver-based photographer Shaghayegh Moradiannejad shows the woman taking a scissors to her ID card and hair to cheers from the crowd. The footage also shows a cameraman shaving his head in solidarity.
