Woman fighting for her life after 'falling out of moving motorhome'

Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses as a woman battles for her life in hospital after a major incident. The woman suffered life-threatening injuries as she fell into the road from a moving vehicle.

West Mercia Police is now "keen to speak" to anyone who may have dashcam footage, or who has information. Issuing an appeal, the force said the incident happened in Shropshire earlier this morning, May 16.

The woman, aged in her 60s, was hurt as she "fell out of a moving motorhome" just before junction 7 of the A5 eastbound. It took place at around 9.30am.

The appeal, shared this evening, read: "Police in Shropshire are appealing for witnesses after a woman fell out of a moving motorhome earlier this morning (16 May). It happened at around 9.30am just before junction 7 on the A5 eastbound.

"A woman in her 60s sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital." PC Helen O’Connor added that anyone with dashcam footage in their cars should also get in contact with them as they investigate.

She said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident take place or who has dashcam footage. Anyone with information is asked to contact me on 07870154668 or by email on helen.oconnor@westmercia.police.uk quoting incident number 104i of 16 May."
