Woman fighting for her life after serious crash in Waltham Abbey

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being involved in a serious collision in Waltham Abbey. Emergency services rushed to Avey Lane in Waltham Abbey in the early hours of Sunday morning (May 19).

Essex Police said they were called at 4.30am to a single vehicle collision. A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and is currently fighting for her life.

A man, 28, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. The road is currently closed while roads policing officers carry out their investigations at the scene.
