Woman in hospital and man arrested after three-car crash on Scots road

A woman was rushed to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Cumbernauld.

Emergency services scrambled to the multi-vehicle incident at Kildrum Road in Cumbernauld at around 5:05pm on Tuesday, April 23. A woman was rushed from the scene in an ambulance to University Hospital Monklands for treatment.

Police confirmed a 64-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 64-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences following a crash involving three vehicles on Kildrum Road, Cumbernauld around 5.05pm on Tuesday, 23 April, 2024."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 17:22 on 23 April 2024 to attend a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on Kildrum Road, Cumbernauld.

"An ambulance and a paramedic response car were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to University Hospital Monklands.”
