Woman in Royal Stoke as paramedics called to crash

A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-car smash in North Staffordshire. Emergency services were called out to Ashbourne Road, near Bradnop, to reports of a collision.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed one woman was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital following Saturday's crash. Paramedics were sent to the stretch on the outskirts of Leek at 6.05am.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: "An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision. There was one patient, a woman, requiring assessment. She was treated by ambulance staff for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital."
