Woman seriously injured in Coventry car crash
A woman has been left seriously injured following a car and van crash in Coventry. It happened on Willenhall Lane earlier today (Friday, May 10).
Paramedics were called to the scene at around 6.15am. Crews found that a man and a woman, who were the drivers of the car and the van, had been involved in a collision, said West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Medics found that the woman, who was the car driver, had sustained serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. She received treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

A man, who was the van driver, was assessed and found to be uninjured. He received self-care advice at the scene before being discharged.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 6.14am to an RTC involving a car and a van on Willenhall Lane in Coventry. Crews found two patients, a man and a woman who were the drivers of the car and the van.
“Crews assessed the driver of the car who had sustained serious injuries which were not life-threatening. She received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry.
“Paramedics assessed the driver of the van who was found to be uninjured. He received self-care advice before being discharged at the scene.”
