Woman stabbed to death in South West London

A woman has been stabbed to death in Battersea, South West London, Met Police have confirmed.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after she was found dead at an address on Grayshott Road.

Police cars and ambulances attended the scene, with paramedics battling for over an hour to save her life before she was pronounced dead at 1.41pm.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Her next of kin have not yet been informed.

“Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

“The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed and enquiries are ongoing.”
