Woman's body found on beach as police launch investigation

A police investigation has is underway after a woman's body was discovered on a beach in Wales.

The discovery was made on Tuesday evening (April 30) near the Pennar area of Pembroke Dock. Dyfed-Powys Police and UK Coastguard officers attended the scene that evening, and confirmed an investigation into her death has begun.

Officers said the woman's family has been notified and the death is currently considered unexplained, reports Wales Online.

A spokesman for the force said: “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman who was found on a beach near Pennar, Pembrokeshire, at about 5pm on Tuesday, April 30. Her family has been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
