Oven door cleaning is a frequently overlooked chore, and without regular attention, grease or food debris can accumulate and burn onto the surface.

Stubborn oven stains are notorious for their resistance to removal, regardless of how much elbow grease you put in. They must be cleaned, however, as they can house bacteria dangerous to food.

Honoured as the Queen of Clean, Lynsey Crombie, Britain's top cleaning expert, emphasises the necessity of keeping oven doors clean for optimal operation.

In an Instagram post, Lynsey stated: "A sparkling clean oven is much more efficient, creates less smoke and burning and allows the smell of your delicious dinner to waft around your home."

Yet, oven cleaning doesn't have to be an aggravating task, especially when equipped with the right products to banish grease - baking soda and washing up liquid, reports the Express.

If you're wondering how to excise grease stains from glass oven doors, it's simpler than you might think.

Lynsey explains that all you require can typically be found in your kitchen already. Baking soda, due to its mildly alkaline nature, excels at breaking down acidic grease, oils, and food remnants.

Mixing baking soda with water forms a solution that can fragment burned grease traces into smaller particles, facilitating easier removal.

Dish soap is specifically formulated to tackle grease, thanks to its surfactant content which effectively penetrates and loosens grease burns, aiding in their dissolution for easier cleaning.

Here's the method:.

Start by sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda onto the oven door. Wet a scrubbing brush and gently mix the baking soda until it forms a thick paste.

Next, apply the dish soap to the scrubbing brush and evenly spread it across the oven door, mixing it into the baking soda paste.

If the paste feels too dense, add more water to the mixture. If it appears too runny, sprinkle on some additional baking soda.

Once you've applied the mixture evenly to the oven door, let it sit for at least 15 minutes to an hour. For oven doors that haven't been cleaned in a while, it's best to leave the baking soda paste overnight.

After the time has elapsed, wet the scrubbing brush again and wipe the door - the dirty stains should come off easily.

Scrub away any stubborn stains, and once the oven is clean, use a paper towel to remove any remaining baking soda paste.

Finally, use a microfibre cloth and water to thoroughly rinse away the baking soda residue, leaving your oven clean and free from grease.

In Lysney's comment section, many people lauded her straightforward solution for removing oven door stains without resorting to harsh chemicals.

One user commented: "Love your tips like the fact they're tried and tested thoroughly so I can just go for it knowing it'll do the trick."

Another individual posted: "I love how you clean with natural products - great clean."

A different person remarked: "It looks so clean! I'm going to try this as this seems more environmentally friendly and easier on your hands than using an oven cleaner."
