Wor Flags urge Newcastle United fans to take their seats early to help finish the season in style
Newcastle United fans are being urged to take their seats at St James' Park at little earlier than usual as the Magpies round off their Premier League home campaign against Brighton. As usual, supporters' group Wor Flags are looking to set the tone pre-match with one final flag display of the season - but need the crowd's help for it to have a real impact.
With Newcastle sitting sixth in the table, the chance to clinch a Europa League place for next season is in the club's hands, and Wor Flags want to help in any way they can get the team over the line. Members of the group will be working throughout Friday afternoon to set up a display that will incorporate the majority of the ground.

The display, which Chronicle Live has chosen not to spoil ahead of the 3pm kick-off on Saturday, will be a nod to history with the underlying hope of creating raucous atmosphere and given the players something to tap into.
This season has seen the benefit of the group's work - a display against Paris St. Germain in The Champions League in which 'hello, hello' was displayed in the Leazes End with a surfer flag and wavers in the Gallowgate, stands out.
Others including a banner paying tribute to the local lads in the squad, displayed against the Tottenham last month, also will be remember fondly. The group have been praised for their creativity and variety of displays throughout the season.
A win against Brighton would cement Newcastle's place in sixth, with Chelsea and Man United starting this weekend two points behind them. Newcastle's race for Europe is largely built up on a solid home record - in which they have won 12 of 18 games, losing only three.
Speaking to Chronicle Live, a spokesperson from Wor Flags had this message for fans: "Once again, we want to mark the last home match of the season in style, particularly as we push for a second season in a row of European football.
"We're asking our fellow fans to be in their seats a little early to get the flags waving."
