It comes as maintenance works are planned for a disused railway bridge on the route.

Herefordshire Council said the closure is required due to the works and as there is a likelihood of danger to the public while the works are being carried out.

The closure will come into force on February 10, with the works expected to be completed within four weeks, according to the notice.

An alternative route will be in place for traffic affected by the closure, with vehicles to be diverted via Archenfield Road, onto the B4234, and vice versa.
