The Conservatives held on to The Wrekin by the narrowest of margins. Generally a safe blue seat, it was held by Mark Pritchard in the 2024 general election with 16,320 votes. They won with 33% of the vote.

Labour came second with 15,437 votes in the seat which was 31% of the vote. It means [WINNER] has a majority of 883.

The Conservatives romped home in The Wrekin last time round - but five years is a long time in politics. Mr Pritchard has been Wrekin MP since 2005, when he took over from Labour. The seat was red in the early Tony Blair years but was won with 63% of the vote last time round.

Voter turn-out in the constituency was 63.57%.

  • LOWE, Anthony (Liberal Democrats) – 4,757 votes (9%)

  • MCCARTHY, Pat (Green Party) – 3,028 votes (6%)

  • PRITCHARD, Mark (The Conservative Party Candidate) – 16,320 votes (33%)

  • SHIPLEY, Chris (Independent) – 558 votes (1%)

  • YAKOBI, Roh (Labour Party) – 15,437 votes (31%)
