Cody Rhodes just made one groom-to-be's wedding dreams come true!

While competing in a SmackDown match in Spokane, Wash., on Saturday, the WWE star, 38, spotted a fan holding up a sign with a special request.

"It says, 'Cody be my best man,' " Rhodes told the crowd as he stood in the ring and leaned against the ropes, according to a video captured by Wrestle Features.

"What should I say?" he asked the audience, who resoundingly yelled back, "Yes!"

"Okay, I will indeed be your best man," Rhodes called out to the groom, prompting lots of cheers and applause from the crowd.

Rhodes later addressed the viral moment in a clip shared on WWE's official X (formerly Twitter) account.

"I saw a sign that I thought was kind of unique — and I should have not seen that sign," he jokingly recalled. "Turns out, I'm going to be his best man."

"Now, here's the funny thing," he continued in the clip. "I don't even know his name. He's gonna send me a DM on Instagram, he told me."

While they may be strangers — at least for now — Rhodes say he fully intends to honor his promise to the groom. "Man of my word," he said. "I'm gonna end up at that guy's wedding."

He ended the interview by congratulating "future guy I'm the best man to."

WWE captioned the video, "Only @CodyRhodes 😂👏👏."

It seems Rhodes is on a bit of a do-good streak at the moment. Last week, he caught wind of a New York City middle school wrestling club's fundraiser selling popcorn to earn enough money to travel as a group to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia in April.

Rhodes posted a message to the students on X on Jan. 3, giving them the surprise of a lifetime.

"I could buy a bunch of popcorn or I could just tell ya’, I’ve got your tickets and hotels," he wrote, before declaring, "You’re going to Wrestlemania 40!"

Teacher Victor Tayler Perry filmed a video of the kids' response to hearing about the wrestling icon's generous offer.

"The Wrestling Club’s reaction when they learned that some of them will be going to Wrestlemania 40 because of @CodyRhodes," he captioned the clip, which he shared on X. "Their joy is absolutely incredible."

Rhodes told PEOPLE that seeing the young wrestlers' reaction to his surprise was "priceless."

"Good things happening to good people. This is what I really, I like about social media, bright spots like these amazing kids," he added.
