X Factor 2015: Tom Bleasby QUITS After Getting A Seat During The Six Chair Challenge

We’re super sad to hear that the ridiculously talented Tom Bleasby has decided to QUIT The X Factor after getting a seat during the terrifying Six Chair Challenge.

We’ll miss you, Tom! And, judging by the reaction from when Nick Grimshaw replaced him during said challenge (before swiftly bringing him back thanks to pressure from the audience), so will many other viewers.

Tom made the announcement on Twitter, telling followers: “Due to personal reasons I have decided to withdraw from The X Factor. Thank you to all the judges, especially Nick for his belief in me.”

He went on to wish the remaining contestants ‘the best of luck’ for the rest of the show, and thanked the public for all their support.

It’s been our pleasure, Tom.

A spokesman for X Factor added: “We can confirm that Tom Bleasby has chosen to withdraw from the competition due to personal reasons.”

The amazing singer also reassured followers that they haven’t heard the last of him, tweeting: “Make no mistake about it. I’m not stopping singing, the X Factor is just one path…one that wasn’t right for me. I will make music.”

Hurrah! We can’t wait to see what’s next for him.

His would-be mentor Nick Grimshaw has since tweeted to show his support too, writing: “well done Tom for handling the pressure of the circus that is 6chair! and best of luck for the future x.”

While he’s not elaborated (understandably) on why he’s decided to wave goodbye to Grimmy and co, other sources have been speculating on why Tom decided to call it a day.

One, for example, told the Mirror: “He didn’t think he could progress vocally and in terms of his confidence.”

:(

Tom hinted that perhaps the pressure of the X Factor experience was taking its toll during the horrible Six Chair Challenge, when he tweeted: “You are literally watching on TV the worst experience of my life.”

In the challenge, Grimmy shocked the other judges and the audience when he took away Tom’s seat.

However, after mounting pressure from the audience, who were chanting ‘bring him back’, Grimmy did just that, asking for Tom to be brought back on stage and telling him: “I can’t ignore that, so Tom - I’d like to offer you another seat.”

We’re wishing Tom the very best of luck for the future - Something tells us there are BIG things ahead for him.
