X Factor’s Seann Miley Moore Hits Out At Nick Grimshaw Critics: ‘I’m Glad He Was My Mentor’ - EXCLUSIVE

Last night’s X Factor arguably had one of the most shocking eliminations in the show’s history, with favourite Seann Miley Moore finding himself unceremoniously chucked out of the competition just two weeks in.

Pitted against Mason Noise, Nick Grimshaw had a tough night as he was both acts mentors, and he faced backlash after he opted to take the the sing-off vote to deadlock rather than make his own decision on who should go home.

And although you might think that Seann holds a whole load of hatred for his former mentor after the public vote saw him get sent home, the Australian hopeful was full of nothing but praise for the Radio 1 DJ.

Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Celebrity, Seann told us: “I’m devastated but it’s fine. Nick made the right decision.

“It was hard for Nick because we’re all such a tight group and it’s like Sophie’s choice up there. He can’t choose between his two kids.

“Nick is wonderful; he let me be me and I am so grateful for that. I’m glad he was my mentor and I wouldn’t change him for any one.”

Well, we’re sure that has made Grimmy feel at least slightly better after such a rubbish evening.

Seann also had his say on Mason staying over him, insisting that there were no hard feelings despite the fact Mason hadn’t originally even made it through to Judge’s Houses - let alone the lives.

He told us: “Mason is so talented; he takes the stage. There are no hard feelings, it is what it is and the show must go on.”

Despite having to bid adieu so early in the competition, Seann told us that he is just seriously grateful to have been accepted by the public, explaining: “To have everyone accept me for who I am is a great thing and that’s the bigger picture.

“It’s a new normal. X Factor allowed me to be myself and to be accepted is an inspiring thing. If I can inspire others then I have done my work.

“Your voice onstage is important but so is your voice offstage, and I didn’t realise the responsibility until people reached out to me on social media.

“I am living proof that being yourself is beautiful.”

Motivational stuff, we think you’ll all agree.

But although Seann has been as gracious as humanly possible about last night’s events, we’re not entirely sure that we will ever get over his shock exit.
