Xbox Game Pass April: get YouTube Premium along with eight new games
Xbox is giving Game Pass members more than just new games this month.
Yes, there’s the usual batch of new arrivals, with eight titles landing on the service in April including kart racer Lego 2K Drive. However, players also receive an extra perk with a YouTube Premium subscription.
Take up the offer and you’ll get three months of ad-free YouTube for free, which isn’t too shabby considering ads on the video platform are getting more intrusive by the day. While the perk is limited to new YouTube users, nothing stops you from starting a new account to take advantage of it.
YouTube Premium normally costs £13 per month, and the general free trial is limited to two months.
Of course, Game Pass is primarily a gaming service, and several top games are included this month. Some titles will also be removed in mid-April to accommodate the newcomers.

Xbox Game Pass April highlights
You’ll be off to the races with Lego 2K Drive as you zip around in transforming vehicles. You may be driving a quad bike on a dirt track one moment, only for it to change magically to a speedboat when you hit the water.
Between drifts on blocky circuits and open-world escapades, the game plays like a wacky mix of Mario Kart and Forza Horizon. Local and online multiplayer is also available, so you can challenge your friends and family to have a go.
Xbox Game Pass is a great showcase for smaller indie titles that may have struggled to find an audience otherwise. As such, puzzle game Botany Manor and day one release Harold Halibut may be worth slotting into your rotation alongside blockbusters including Starfield and Fortnite.
Finally, Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is the best way to experience Lara Croft’s most recent adventure. The game has lots of content, including all seven DLC challenge tombs, and all downloadable weapons, outfits, and skills.
